Katie and Nancy

This was behind the scenes at the Rally for the Republic in Minnesota. Katie was about dead tired! (We had stayed up til 4am the previous night of course partying!) John Bush (Rabbit Hole Radio on www.WFURadio.com) is filming. Nice camera job eh? lol Here is the video of the Protest from Rage Against the Machine we speak about in the video: (If they would only realize that the Democrats are the other side of the same coin…Maybe in the next coming year they will be unblindfolded. We still support them wholeheartedly!)

Check out some other videos. We took all of these.

Look forward to chatting with everyone on the 3rd on Freedom Underground!!! www.WFURadio.com

Ok, so the last post was a bit premature, maybe, since we didn’t quite make it up on the air then.  However, Katie and I have been helping with wFUradio.com to get everything running and we now anticipate a launch date of January 3rd.  We probably could have done it earlier, but since we’ve been travelling for the holidays, we decided to wait and have a great first show!

Nancy

Yes, it is confirmed that Liberty Cafe will be back on air, Saturday, December 7th from 7-11pm!  Our guest will be Casey J Porter, a memeber of Iraq Veterans Against the War.

We are looking forward to being back on the air and talking with all our listeners!  Hopefully the phones will be up and working by then, but if not, you can always email us at libertycafeshow@gmail.com.

{November 5, 2008}   Looking ahead…

It’s been a very long election season for all of us.  I first want to thank every one of you for all of you time, effort, blood, sweat and tears.

It would be very easy to become discouraged today.  I will admit I was not the happiest of campers this morning when I woke up.  But I’ve had a little time to reflect on everything that’s happened in the last year and a half, and I have to say I am far from disheartened by what I have seen.

It’s easy to dwell on losses, forget the positive in the negatives so forcefully put in our face last night and this morning.  And, you know what?  It’s okay to be mad, to be angry, to be a little down.

But, once you’ve done that, I ask you to think of the following things:

1.  Just try to count how many people you have met in the last 18 months who share your political views.  I can’t count them all.  Almost every time I step out of my house now, I run into someone I’ve met in the past year.  I’m continually meeting new people who are dissatisfied with how things are going and want to learn more.  I’m always writing down web addresses and other information for people.

2.  How many of those people do you count as friends?  How many of them have been truer friends to you in the past 18 months than all the friends you had in years prior?  I have found so many people that I know would be willing to help out on a moment’s notice.

3.  How many things have you learned about the world and politics and how it all works?  We understand the primaries, how they work, why it’s important to vote, even if it’s in protest.  How to work a polling place, how to canvass, and how sometimes all it takes is just going and doing something.  Even if you do it wrong the first time.  It’s always better to try and fail and learn something, than to sit back and do nothing.

4.  How important education is, and how hard it is to do sometimes.  But then someone new “gets it”, and you start the process again.

5.  I believe every one of us, no matter how discouraged we are some days, have a burning desire, a need, to do something about what we now know.  Haven’t you felt this yourself?  Do you look at your friends and family and know that you must continue because you know things that others do not?

I consider myself a much more enriched person now than I was 18 months ago.  My life, while it has it’s ups and downs and certainly some new stresses, is more rewarding and full than I could have imagined 18 months ago.  And, no matter what happens, I can say that I am doing something meaningful with my life.  That I did not give up when things did not go my way.  That I stand by my friends and family, even when sometimes they don’t understand why I do the things I do.  I do all of this because I believe with all my heart, that we are not meant to live as slaves.  I believe we are meant to be self-determining human beings, able to live our lives to the fullest potential possible, and in so doing, enrich the lives of those we love around us.  I believe we are meant to think, to laugh, to love, to grow and be willing to take what’s given to us and make it better for ourselves and the people around us.  We cannot sit idly by and watch as the world around us changes for the worse.  And I know, that when the time comes, the people that I have met in the last 18 months will stand firm against the encroaching tide of tyranny.  And that we will fight until the end, because in good conscience we cannot do anything else.

Now is the time to catch our breath, fill our reserves and start the next battle, because the war is not over.  One thing I have certainly learned in the last year – we are FAR more effective locally than nationally.  We know what the overall agenda is, and we must face the fact that we cannot fight everyone’s battles for them. But we can certainly fight our own, and we are obligated to.  What exactly that’s going to be next, I don’t know for sure.

I encourage every one of us to stay active, stay informed and aware and stay in touch.  Join other liberty minded groups – TAGTexas.org is just one of many.  Network. That is where my time and effort is going to go.  We cannot play partisan politics.  We must be willing to find the people who agree on our issues and work with them to build coalitions.  This is how we can get things done, right here in central Texas.  When we stop it here, we stand as a beacon to other people around the country and the world as a testament to the will of a people who stand for Liberty, Freedom and Justice.

I look forward to continuing to work with you all.  I hope that each of you will find the resolve and courage to keep fighting, because I know it is in each of you.

Nothing is worth having that you didn’t have to work for.

In Liberty and Love,
Nancy and Katie

{October 9, 2008}   Where to now for the Cafe?

As you may have already heard, We The People Radio Network closed it’s doors today.  It’s a long involved story and someday we may tell it.

The Liberty Cafe will be back again, hopefully soon, on the Global Truth Network.  Please check back with us and we will keep you updated!

In the meantime, you can listen to our archives here:  http://mp3.wtprn.com/LibertyCafe08.html

The site says they will be up permanently, but seeing as how the person in charge of it has lied repeatedly, I would highly suggest downloading the archives you would like to listen to as soon as possible.  There are several other good shows on there as well, and I would get as many as you can before they are gone.

Thank you to all our listeners and we will be back soon!

Nancy and Katie

Liberty Cafe at the Campaign for Liberty while Ron Paul is speaking

Hey all, Nancy here blogging from the eagle’s nest here at the Target Center in Minneapolis Minnesota. I’ve been chatting a bit with the guys over at www.unitedliberty.org. If you would like to follow the live blogging – check it out.
Up in the bloggers box...nice eh??? See those 12,000 people?

Up in the bloggers box...nice eh??? See those 12,000 people?

They are now playing a clip of the Fox News debate in New Hampshire. Sean Hannity, of course, is getting huge boos and Dr. Paul is getting cheers. Dr. Paul called them out on not being fair and balanced and got huge cheers.

Lew Rockwell just said “you would have to be sedated, not to be cynical”. He’s gotten the biggest applause and reaction yet. Picture of Lew:
I’m looking around the arena – and I’m wondering where everyone is? The arena is maybe 1/4 full. And we’re running behind schedule – so I’m wondering if the “guest” speaker is going to come on or not? Currently Bill Kaufman is speaking and he was supposed to be on at 2:30 and it is now 3:30. (They pretty much showed up especially when Ron Paul was speaking. What we heard was that there were from 10,000-12,000 people there…I haven’t heard an official count) Here’s some photos:

12,000 people? Dr. Ron Paul speaking.

Huge crowd: 12,000 people? Dr. Ron Paul speaking.

Surely the crowd is not all still recovering from the Ron Paul Nation Celebration last night in Blaine! Where, by the way, Katie and I got to meet Aimee Allen! Ron Paul Nation Celebration pictures:

This was great a Huge crowd of TEXANS got together to show our support! TEXAS! RON PAUL! was the chant!

This was great a Huge crowd of TEXANS got together to show our support! TEXAS! RON PAUL! was the chant!

I will say I have been enjoying Tucker Carlson MC’ing the event. I got a little thrill earlier today when I walked by and realized who it was. Not that I’m a big fan – but hey! There’s Tucker Carlson and man! His hair actually does look like that! I wonder if he styles it that way? or is just a bit lazy?

John McManus is the Special Guest and the head of the John Birch Society. He’s hitting on all the favorite topics of Ron Paul supporters – ending the Fed, stopping deficit spending…. Overall a fairly good speaker.

Later…. Jesse Ventura just took the stage! The flashes from the cameras are still going strong 5 minutes into his speech. He said “The two parties are destroying our country”.  He placed the blame directly on us as being the responsible parties for why things are the way they are.  We must take personal responsibility – something I wholeheartedly agree with.

He’s also brought up 9/11 – we have the right to ask questions.  He’s asking all the right questions – I would LOVE to see him run for office again.   He just announced that if we show him that we are ready, he will run for President in 2012.  “I need to see it by action.”  No chanting, no cheering, no just talking – ACTIONS by us to show the world we are ready to take our county back.

Katie and I both LOVED Jesse Ventura’s speech – he fired up the crowd and was by far the best speech so far!

Aimee Allen is up next (it’s now 5:25) and after that is a scheduled break.  I’ll be back after the break!

Just back up in the blogger’s suite from the Aimee Allen part of the program and the break. Aimee was incredible and Katie and I were both lucky enough to be right on the floor next to the stage. Amazing! I was so close to the speakers I could feel the bass shake my whole body! I think I may be hoarse for a while though – couldn’t help but to sing Ron Paul Revolution at the top of my (admittedly somewhat dubious) voice.

Jimmy Vaughan put on an unscheduled appearance with some great music – I am going to have to go back and watch the feed, because he had a great patriot song Katie and I would both like to add to our music mix! He’s going to be playing at the after party tonight as well, so maybe I can hear it again and see if it’s actually out there recorded yet or not!

Now, let me preface this next bit by saying that I had been working for Ron Paul’s campaign as an unpaid volunteer for some time up through the conventions and I am a HUGE supporter. However, he does tend to say the same speech over and over, which is I’m sure pretty par for the course considering how many speeches he has to give on an almost daily basis. So, for those of us that have heard that part of his speech tonight before, I’ll skip over it.

NOW! What he did say that was not his regular canned speech was great! He always gets great response from the crowd for his regular speech, but he really kicked it up a notch tonight. He spoke of how a true Patriot defends liberty and the people – they do not blindly support whatever the government does. A REAL Patriot would repeal the Patriot Act.

Dr. Paul received huge cheers, chants of “end the Fed!” and boos for the Fed, big government, and unwarranted military aggression.

He spoke out against the drug war – stating that as a Physician, even he can see the problems with prescription drugs! And that we should not penalize ill people through persecution by “compassionate conservatism.”

All in all, it was an amazing speech, the energy in here was great! Dr. Paul even mentioned Raw Milk!!!

At the end, he spoke of a special request he gave Aimee Allen this evening – to sing a song called “The Universal Soldier”. It speaks of the essence of decision making – should I or should I not participate in something? It’s the universal soldier that is at the mercy the most of the bureaucrats. For a thousand years, there’s been a universal soldier. It is the roll of the universal soldier to implement or stop / resist as much as it is ours. We need to replace the universal soldier with the universal champion of liberty

To end his speech, Dr. Paul said: 1.2 Million people voted for Dr. Paul in the election – and millions more listened and have woken up and now they can’t stop us!

Very inspirational and exciting! Sara Evans is playing now and I’ve enjoyed listening to her as I caught up the blog this evening. I spent the day live blogging with Brett Bittner on http://www.unitedliberty.org/

Check it out! We’ll be back this Saturday with a live show and we’re going to be recapping the events of the week!

Nancy and Katie

I recorded some of our show via my Olympus Camera: the only thing is my voice is so loud and you cant hear us: totally unprofessional but its something!!:

Guest Host in studio tonight – John Bush – Organizer for the Freedom Force Austin group.  He also works with PNAC radio on Mondays and Wednesdays at 6pm to 8pm. Here’s his mug:

Katie: Locally what are the Ron Paul meetup groups doing for their local politicians. Get to know them. One of the things we are doing here in my local meetup is coming up with a flier to canvass with for our local politicians. Like “Liberty Lovers Endorses these Politicians”, etc. Then we plan on handing it out at our precincts too. Just an idea. Find out who’s running ask them some hard questions. Figure things out for people locally. Especially, right when they are about to vote, people are lazy and do not know who’s running and people are sick of the same ol same ol, they WANT something different, people know if they vote the same way they always have they get the same thing they always got. AND IF THEY DONT KNOW IT…they are BLIND or NOT PAYING ATTENTION!!!!

Beer tonight is Dos Equis with fresh lime. It was really good, I could get used to this beer.  Everyone seemed to enjoy it. Katie

John discusses Freedom Force International. What is so great about this group is they are about ACTION. John talks about how he got involved with Freedom Force and about G. Edward Griffin. Here is a link to the Austin Freedom Force Meetup Group, and here is Freedom Force’s Website. Get involved. Dont Complain about City Hall, Be City Hall.

Penny Langford Freeman Interview

Nancy and  I had the opportunity to sit down with Penny Langford Freeman and ask her a few questions.  This clip is her response to a question about how she woke up to the problems with federal government and how she got involved with Ron Paul’s Congressional office. Hopefully Penny will be running for Govenor for the State of Texas!

John Bush and the World Elitists:

Let me say that you must hear the archives or catch the show live. John Bush was great and gave so much great info I cant put it all down here.  There was so much more than this….

Here is one of the quotes that he read to us via an email that he sent out to our Austin Ron Paul Group:

I wanted to share this excerpt from a 1974 Foreign Affairs article titled “The Hard Road to World Order”.  It was written by Richard Gardner ( CFR, Trilateral Commission, Rhodes Scholar, UN delegate, Carter’s ambassador to Italy , Clinton ’s ambassador to Spain , total NWO scum!) and basically outlines the elite’s modus operandi for creating their world government.  Gradualism. Incrementalism. Basically, the frog in the boiling pot method.  This why they are so succesful at what they do.

“If instant world government, Charter review, and a greatly strengthened International Court do not provide the answers, what hope for progress is there? The answer will not satisfy those who seek simple solutions to complex problems, but it comes down essentially to this: The hope for the foreseeable lies, not in building up a few ambitious central institutions of universal membership and general jurisdiction as was envisaged at the end of the last war, but rather in the much more decentralized, disorderly and pragmatic process of inventing or adapting institutions of limited jurisdiction and selected membership to deal with specific problems on a case-by-case basis … In short, the ‘house of world order’ will have to be built from the bottom up rather than from the top down. It will look like a great ‘booming, buzzing confusion,’ to use William James‘ famous description of reality, but an end run around national sovereignty, eroding it piece by piece, will accomplish much more than the old-fashioned frontal assault.” (Emphasis added)

I took this M.O. and examined it side by side with the NAU agenda.  It fits hand in hand with the Security and Prosperity Partnership.  Rather than push the Senate to ratify a treaty of sorts, which the people of the US would obviously be against, they are eroding the sovereignty of our nation “piece by piece” by dealing with problems on a “case by case basis”  Take a look at what the SPP actually entails:

For the Prosperity portion they will erode our sovereignty by dealing with the following issues on a “case by case basis”:

Manufactured Goods & Sectoral and Regional Competitiveness
Movement of Goods
Energy
Environment
E-Commerce & Information Communications Technologies
Financial Services
Business Facilitation

Food and Agriculture
Transportation
Health

For the Security portion they will:
-Secure North America from external threats by creating a Common security perimeter by 2010 with common external tariff
-Prevent and respond to threats within North America by Merging our three militaries
-Further streamline the secure movement of low-risk traffic across our shared borders by creating a North American ID cardThe Gardner Plan is apparent in almost every aspect of the NWO creation.  It is only by recognizing their methods that we can defeat them.  They have been at it for 100 years plus.  They are good at what they do but we are better.  We will be victorious.  We will prevail.

Your friend in liberty,
John Bush

Some other links and talking points John discussed:

-Article on Carroll Quigley: Look this guy up, President Bill Clinton’s mentor. Globalist and reseracher that brought in as an insider with the  NWO extensively and agrees with its purpose.

It was an amazing toast..I can not remember it, although it was alike a poem. I will update later:
Eating Potatoe Chips Just Got a Little Healthier!

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/25984192/ Cancer chemicals to be reduced in chips, fries 4 food firms agree to lower levels of substance and pay $3 million in fines.

Sat., Aug. 2, 2008

LOS ANGELES – Snack lovers, rejoice: Munching on potato chips just got a little healthier.

Four food manufacturers agreed to reduce levels of a cancer-causing chemical in their potato chips and french fries under a settlement announced Friday by the state attorney general’s office.

California sued H.J. Heinz Co., Frito-Lay, Kettle Foods Inc., and Lance Inc. in 2005, alleging they violated a state requirement that companies post warning labels on products with carcinogens.

The companies avoided trial by agreeing to pay a combined $3 million in fines and reduce the levels of acrylamide in their products over three years, officials said.
Notice that most of the compaies listed are members of the CFR???? Makes me want to BARF! Go ORGANIC! Cape Cod chips too :( At least its low, I have bought several bags at Cosco!
Nancy’s take on this was – ok, here is my thoughts on this.  Acrylamide is formed during high heat frying or broiling.  It does not form during boiling or sauteing.  Basically, it’s a chemical reaction in it seems to be starchy foods that occurs when they are cooked at high heat – especially in old oils.  French Fries from fast food places are especially bad.
But what do we know already, anyway?  That fried foods aren’t really that great for you to begin with.  And since this is a naturally occurring phenomenon, keeping the amount of fried foods consumed to a minimum just makes sense anyway.  And really, who actually thinks fast food french fries are good for you?  Although I will admit to loving homemade potato chips

August 2nd -

We began with talking about how important it is to conquer your fear.  Living in fear keeps us from acting – it’s important to recognize it for what it is, and move on.  We cannot allow fear to rule or deter our actions.  Oftentimes we allow fear of what may be, camps, death, torture, keep us from doing what is necessary for a free republic. One person can make a HUGE difference in the lives of MANY other people. You can be that match light in the dark.

We did not care for it much.

We did not care for it much.

Beer Review:  Widmer Brother, w’08 Crimson Wheat Wheat Beer. No one really liked it much.  Katie bought it because it said Wheat Beer on the side of the box, but come to find out when you pick one up it said W’08. Oh god!!!! That led to conversation about how everything is prepping us for the NWO. (just seems that way some times)

Especially when you go to the movies. It seems to be all about Martial Law, were all going blind, we cant have babies, the bad people are coming, the aliens are coming. SOMETHING. Its just sickening.Rita saw Black Night which was HORRIBLE.

Property Tax Protest – Went to a Property Tax Protest that was sponsored by Don Zimmerman (Who is running for County Tax Assessor–lets hope he wins!) About 40 people showed up including the media. Our property tax is going up even with this economy by $5000 a house..Its really ridiculous.

Uncounted – Movie at Alamo Draft house sponsored by VoteRescue. What an awesome movie. Here is the trailor:

Katie fired today from talking politics (the war) in the break room. What a bunch of bullshiznit.  She is fine, she went part time a few months ago because she wanted to be home with the kids. Thank God she didn’t need to work. But has this happened to anyone else? Talk about socialism? I bet you $100 that if I was talking about killing Muslims and how great that was…nothing would happen to me. – Katie

Newspapers letting go hundreds to thousands of jobs and are being bought up by bigger news papers/companies over the past year. Newspapers are in trouble and so are we. If independent people are fired, the ones who actually go out and search for the answers, then all we WILL end up with is the Governements “talking points” and Associated Press/Rueters reports. Its almost all we have right now anyways. Another reason this is big is that radio/broadcasting is about five years behind. The internet is taking over, but I think that having all different means to information is great. Most people who read the paper spend about 45 minutes reading it and most people who get news online spend 7 minutes getting it. Most people we know STAY in the NEWS so this is talking about main stream society. Not “awake” people. Lol
If you google job cuts observer/cronicle/newspaper/etc tons of papers are having to cut over the past year. Where is jounalism going. What is the impact.

Dripping Springs Man takes a case before the Grand Jury regarding Ghost Voting in the legislature. Gary Conner is my HERO of the week! He saw this news report: and got mad as hell. Did some research and said that this has to be illegal. He brought up charges up on impersonating a government official and tampering with government documents. He brought the issue DIRECTLY to the Grand Jury, bypassing the DA (with a fight no less) and finally got it seen by them.

“The investigation wrapped last month with the grand jury issuing a report, condemning the practice and calling on the legislators to stop or change their rules, which prohibit members from voting for each other.”

ONE MAN did this for the entire state of Texas. Think of how huge that is….

http://www.statesman.com/news/content/news/stories/local/07/27/0727grandjury.html?cxtype=rss&cxsvc=7&cxcat=52

I met him one time at a training for the senate convention. He was awesome! Way to go Gary! Everyone, no matter where they are on the scope of things needs to pay attention to this. While we still have a say, we can do things like this. They haven’t totally shut us out yet. I am sure this will have an effect on future laws as in, there will be something soon to squash this from happening again. Think about what they were trying NOT to go to the Grand Jury. I mean total corruption and totally unlawful acts!! It’s acts like this, from ONE PERSON, out there that can make a HUGE difference on a huge amount of people. Thank God there are people out there fighting not only for his liberty and justice, but all of ours.

We hadn’t seen this video as many of our friends out there IM SURE have….But it still blew me away that he just nonchalantly puts it out there…”Oh yeah, we send talking points to Fox News all the time!” “We tell them what to say-thats the way we like it” Oh man….Its so bad!!!

This is the saddest article I have seen in awhile. It really broke my heart.
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/25875340/ 22,000 veterans have called suicide hot linePhone line was launched last July after complaints VA wasn’t doing enough Mon., July. 28, 2008

WASHINGTON – More than 22,000 veterans have sought help from a special suicide hot line in its first year, and 1,221 suicides have been averted, the government says.  And thats WHO CALLED IN..can you imagine how many have problems that HAVENT called in. Another things that really upsets me about this article is that it says that it saved 1,221 suicides, so how many did it NOT save? What are those numbers? I really feel for the men and women overseas everywhere that see and hear stuff that we can not even imagine.

Al Qaida has been involved in more terrorist attacks since Sept. 11, 2001, than it was during its prior history and the group’s attacks since then have spanned an increasingly broader range of targets in Europe, Asia, the Middle East and Africa, according to researchers.

In looking at how other terrorist groups have ended, the RAND study found that most terrorist groups end either because they join the political process, or because local police and intelligence efforts arrest or kill key members. Police and intelligence agencies, rather than the military, should be the tip of the spear against al Qaida in most of the world, and the United States should abandon the use of the phrase “war on terrorism,” researchers concluded.

“The United States cannot conduct an effective long-term counterterrorism campaign against al Qaida or other terrorist groups without understanding how terrorist groups end,” said Seth Jones, the study’s lead author and a political scientist at RAND, a nonprofit research organization. “In most cases, military force isn’t the best instrument.”

SO mean we’re not fighting terrorism right??? NO IT CANT BE!!! NO WAY? SERIOUSLY? BUSH/CHENEY HAVE IT WRONG? NO WAY!!!!

HEALTH
- How to make organic toothpaste

Baking Soda
Hydrogen Peroxide
Drop of peppermint oil
Think about how cheap and easy. I mean you know EXACTLY what is in it!
Speaking of health issues: This is some great FREAKING BREAD!!! MUST FIND AND EAT! They have it in Austin, and I just DIE for it. You can go into the store and sample ALL the bread they make there for free! Also, They grind their OWN WHEAT every morning! It really is amazing bread! It only has FIVE INGREDIENTS in their MAIN Wheat bread. (which is my favorite)
Excerpt: “Great whole grain, whole-wheat bread does not need a long list of ingredients. Five pure and simple ingredients are all it takes: whole-wheat flour, filtered water, fresh yeast, salt, and something sweet (usually a local honey). In fact, we’d say bread is best when you keep it simple. It’s even better when you use the highest quality ingredients you can find.”
Down fall: the PRICE has risen over a $1.50 in the past two months. The lady at the counter said that the wheat prices have gone up so much, and it was so scarces they had to raise their prices too. Where is all the wheat?
TOAST: We did our “11:15 Toast, “To the soldiers who are fighting on our behalf” Keep them safe. Our toasts are usually Buttery Nipples, not beer though!
They are put into such a hard situation: Look at this article:  http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/25874540/
U.S. military acknowledges Iraqi civilians killed. The statement reverses earlier claims that victims were suspected militants
–They were bankers. How many times has this happened in Iraq? Very sad war that we do not even know who the combantants are and who people that are coming/going to work. Impossible to win when you do not know who your enemy is? The enemies are in the white house in my opinion! (Katie)

- Aug 11th – Great American Walk for Freedom – campaign to massively hand out constitutions and get thousands of people to sign up for the campaign for liberty – We should follow their lead and do this in Austin! I think the 14 list needs a protest activity like this to get people involved again
http://walk4freedom.org/

- I like this action too: Setting up a booth to swear citizens in to defend and protect the constitution. Rita brought this to our attention. They are doing this in California, if I am not mistaken.

Now that we’re all going to MN, we should really start pumping up the hype. Here’s some stats:

Rally tickets sold so far   : 5000+

From Texas                  :  300+ (6%)

States with more tickets than Texas : California

The only others even close are Florida, Illinois, and Wisconsin (but
Minnesota numbers are missing from the list I have for some reason.)

We are also 17% of the tickets for the Real Politics Training School on the
31st.

Come on Texas we can beat CALIFORNIA!

Some topics that we did not get to on the show….

http://onthecommons.org/content.php?id=961 I do not like it so far. I haven’t found anything of value everytime I used it. I do not like the format either, how its in squares. Great concept though, and if you want something off the beaten path as far as info might be a good tool to have.

I had heard about the signing with the SPP earlier and then saw some more info on DemacracyNow. They used this video from Al Jazeera.  President Bush signs with Mexicos President to help “fight” the drug war. Here is a documentary from Al Jazeer.http://english.aljazeera.net/programmes/insideusa/2008/07/200872674623290878.html Makes Mexico responsible for OUR national security. Oh god, I heard the phrase, what we are doing is “Armoring NAFTA”. Military society, you have CONTROL. SPP is trying to get Mexico’s Oil too. $116 Million going to military, huge chunk going to Mexico’s POLICE, Human rights training (brain wash them)–that tortures, great!! Private security teaching Mexicans torture–has been done!!?? But Mexico finally rejected it. Militarizing the society–the worst violaters of human rights in Mexico.  Plan Mexico? Is this what it is called? There are STRICT GUN LAWS in Mexico..duh, if the people aren’t armed..then the gangsters can take over! Again…no one knows or cares. Mexico has crossed the border at least 40 times this year and even held up our border patrol by gun point, nothing happens.
